Brown Background Headshot Session with Ivanka in Enfield Albany Park Area

January 13th, 2024

They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and in headshot photography, capturing the essence of a person’s personality within a single frame is a skill that I have been refining over the years. I had the pleasure of conducting a top-notch headshot session with Ivanka in the Enfield Albany Park area.

Our session was nothing short of spectacular, and the Pixapro brown/grey collapsible background played a significant role in achieving the desired aesthetic. The background light dramatically altered the look of the shots, and owing to the texture on both sides, the headshots had a portrait-style vibe. We particularly loved the warm and earthy tones of the brown side.

Now, onto the post-processing bit. As much as I’m a stickler for getting it right in-camera, I also know the importance of a good touch-up. For this, I tried a different workflow. I processed my Raw files as normal in Capture One but avoided removing any blemishes using the spot tool Then I exported to Evoto, an excellent tool for removing blemishes from the skin. The process was surprisingly simple and saved a great deal of time. I spent time on one image, copied and pasted the settings on the remainder, and watched as AI cleaned up the rest. Of course, a bit of tweaking was in order to achieve the best results. I saved presets for Men women and children. Ofcourse understanding how to retouch using tools like spot removal, frequency separation, and dodge and burning tools are still essential but can be done after Evoto saving time.

This process will be very helpful, especially for large headshot sessions, and I’m chuffed to bits to have added Evoto AI to my toolkit, which already includes Capture One, Luminar Neo, and Affinity Photo.

For this session, I used my trusty Nikon D5300, paired with a Nikkor 50 1.4g lens. The results were absolutely smashing, and as always, it was a joy to be the person behind the lens, capturing the essence of a beautiful soul.

To all budding photographers out there, remember to keep your toolkit updated and experiment with different techniques. Like a well-brewed cuppa, it takes time to perfect the art of photography. So, keep learning, keep clicking, and most importantly, keep enjoying the process. #Headshot #btsHeadshot #PhotographyToolkit #evotoai #watfordchamberofcommerce #nikond5300 #enfield
